What does MDL mean to you? And how does that play out in your business?

To me, a multidimensional leader is one that is layered and multi-talented.  They are diverse, complex individuals who have a lot to offer our world. Often approaching leadership from a holistic perspective, they value the heart, the mind and the greater spiritual world. A multidimensional leader is good with people, valuing all of the strengths that each individual brings to the world. They think differently and expansively; they are open to all perspectives and know how to weigh the contributions of each person. Multidimensional leaders have a high degree of emotional intelligence and would be considered more spiritually evolved than most. They have the capacity to bring great change to our world.  For me and my business, I consider myself a multidimensional leader and often attract other leaders like myself to partner with. It makes for a very rich, rewarding and collaborative experience.

What are your multidimensional powers that make you unique?

As a relator, I naturally form genuine and mutually rewarding one-on-one relationships. My authenticity allows me to build close, long-lasting connections that foster trust and confidence. I work hard to inspire growth in people, and I’m often told that people look up to me for the changes I’ve created in my own life. My emotional depth makes people feel like I understand them.  There isn’t much that I can’t relate to. An emotionally stable and grounded person, I’m usually the calming force in someone’s life.  But make no mistake. I’m also high energy and consider myself a superachiever. I have a strong, innate drive to work hard and get things done.

What is your favorite assessment and what were your results?

My favorite assessment tool is the CliftonStrengths. I was introduced to this tool years ago and I was fascinated by the results. In a world where we often focus on our flaws and what we need to improve, the CliftonStrengths assessment shows us what our strengths are and encourages us to focus instead on what we are naturally good at.  I have used this tool for myself, my family members and when making hiring decisions. By using this tool for everyone we work with, we can combine strengths to become a stronger unit. My top 5 strengths are Relator, Empathy, Achiever, Connectedness and Harmony.

What is the #1 leadership or business advice you follow all the time?

My leadership style is all about forming emotionally deep relationships with everyone I work with - my team and my clients.  I believe wholeheartedly in developing a personal relationship with people because it’s not just about business.  We are humans first and foremost and unless all aspects of our being are nurtured, we can’t operate at our best.  So I care about the “person”.  What makes them tick. What is going on in their personal lives. How we can form a collaborative approach to working together. How their day is going. Some people would say “you wear your heart on your sleeve. This is business.”  But I say…”yes and that is what many people love about working with me.”

Tell me about one of your core values and what that means to you.

Heart is one of my most significant core values. I am driven by creating heart-centered connections with the people I meet, both personally and professionally.  And I believe that the world needs more heart - more love, more kindness, more compassion.  If I can do my part to contribute to a more loving world, I feel fulfilled. By valuing “heart”, it also means I don’t tolerate unkindness.  I will speak up for kinder and more compassionate interactions between people. And because heart is so important to me, I always check in with my heart to see how I feel about people, decisions, and situations.  As long as I trust my heart, it never steered me wrong.
